When cellist Sayuri McAllister returns to Vancouver after spending two years studying in Paris, she comes home to discover that there has just been a break-in.  Jewelry valued at more than a million dollars has been stolen from a wall safe in their house. The police are on the scene when Sayuri arrives and recognizes Michael Donovan, the detective on the case. He had been her high school sweetheart until he screwed up royally. Now Michael suspects that the robbery may have been an inside job, that Sayuri’s father may have something to do with it. Michael is still in love with Sayuri, but with her father a suspect, what chance could there be for them to get together again?
